JoAnn Peterson will portray Nellie Bly who was a groundbreaking “stunt” journalist. Nellie feigned insanity to be committed to a “lunatic asylum” so she could report on the horrific conditions. In 1890, she became the fastest human being to circle the globe, completing the trip in a record 72 days.
