Convert old VHS tapes to a digital format like PLSJ did! A VHS tape containing footage of the 1936 Ohio River flood remained in storage at the Main Library for many years. Thanks to the new digital conversion equipment in the Makerspace at the Schiappa Branch Library, it has now been digitized. The 23-minute black and white video contains footage of the flood waters in Marietta, Steubenville, other areas of Jefferson County, and downtown Pittsburgh. It can be viewed on the Digital Shoebox website within PLSJ's "Images, Audio, and Video" collection by typing "1936 flood video" in the search box at: www.digitalshoebox.org Adena Branch Women's Club of Adena Adena American Legion Adena American Legion Ladies Auxillary Adena Lions Club The Barn at Little Valley Short Creek Sportsman's Club Zeroski Excavating Mary Hirt Angelica Kidd 1.
