Author Visit, Schiappa Branch

Gary Beckley will discuss and sign copies of his historical fiction book, Oh! Susannah.  The story explores the life of a woman’s role in society during the Civil War era and centers around Gary’s third, great-grandmother.  Susannah’s family traveled between Harrison and Carroll counties during her lifetime.  Her brothers were recruited and became privates within the 98th OVI and were the first regiment to occupy Camp Steubenville/Camp Mingo.  The book can be purchased for $36.95 at the program.
